As a Usui Reiki Master and a Kundalini Reiki Master I use Reiki energy every day in various areas of my life and it has helped me in so many ways. Every day I am grateful that I found Reiki and that I have had the wonderful Masters I have had. I do not know where I would be if I had not found Reiki.
So lets go to the beginning… Back in 2008 after fighting with my fibromyalgia for about a year a friend of mine had told me that I should look into Reiki as she felt it would help with my symptoms. I couldn’t find anyone that offered the Reiki service but found a class that would teach me to perform Reiki and so I took that class. I loved that class and enjoyed meeting all the other people in that class. After that class I was Level I attuned and started my journey of self-Reiki.
For the first 30 days after my first attunement I did Reiki on myself for at least 45 minutes, usually right before bed because I would be super tired afterwards. At the end of the 30 days I stopped and actually thought about how I was feeling and it was so much better than I had felt in over a year. The daily pain was manageable and I was once again able to do some of the simple tasks that had become too hard. Once again I was able to keep up on my homework without it causing a major flare up and the spiral downwards that comes with a flare up. Everyone around me noticed.
It is my belief that since my Level I Master was a massage therapist that in her mind she could only see the physical abilities of Reiki and not the other areas that Reiki energy can help. Then in 2012 I found out a very good friend of mine was also a Reiki Master. This friend follows more closely to my spiritual beliefs and so it was super easy for me to take her Level II class. It was here that she opened my eyes to all that Reiki can do. And it is after her class that I started using Reiki in all areas of my life to make improvements.
This dear friend was who also provided me with my Usui ART and Master training. Once I received those trainings I was able to see fully all that Reiki energy can do and knew that I wanted to make this not only a way of life but also share it with others. It brings me much joy being able to share Reiki with others and show them that there are natural ways to make improvements to their lives. It’s not always easy however it is always worth it.
In 2013 my husband and I moved to southern Kentucky and through a group I was in meet this wonderful young woman and felt an instant connection with her. She was offering a class in Kundalini Reiki and my soul knew that I needed to take this course to further my Reiki studies. (Yes, there are different forms of Reiki and it is my feeling that all are valid and each has its own energy. There will be others that disagree with me and I respect their opinion and ask that they respect mine.) During this course I noticed that the Kundalini energy that had been in my root chakra was released and was flowing through my entire body. This energy was foreign and exciting to me and I spent the next several weeks allowing my body to adjust to this new energy.
When it comes down to it in the end Reiki in the forms I am skilled in has saved my life. My fibromyaglia is now at a point that most days you wouldn’t even know there was anything wrong with me. My bad days are now like my good days used to be and my good days are awesome. Reiki has also helped me deal with the emotional abuse I dealt with from my mother and subsequent ex’s. I have been able to heal myself on so many different levels. I have even used Reiki in my spiritual work to help boost the energy needed. I use Reiki to help me with my issues with success and money as well as with improving my marriage. As long as your intentions are good there is nothing Reiki can’t help with.
Every day I am grateful that I found Reiki because of how much my life has improved since finding this energy. And it is my goal to share Reiki energy with the world. Thank you so much for having read this far. I know I went on forever. So please know that if you have read this far you have gotten to the point that you will receive Reiki energy from me. Hope you have a great day, evening, night, and life!

There is a practical approach to a seemingly unsolvable problem; if you take this tack, it will have fantastic results. Look at how you can follow the letter of the law, so to speak, and yet be innovative and clever in your approach. Put your own needs first and do not be a victim in this situation. There is a way out, and it involves using your wits and wiles, and being aware that it is right and fair for you to do so when you have so much at stake! Using the gifts of the Earth and of Gaia, of air and water, for practical ends with magickal results. Affinity with rowan-wood.
Today is about using the proper communication skills to change a undesirable situation. And truth be told, most likely it was the lack of communication that caused the issue in the first place. I know that when I don’t keep my communication skills in check me and my husband will be saying the exact same thing but will be fighting because we are not communicating. Everything in life rests your ability to properly communicate.
The book “Crucial Conversations: How to Talk When Stakes are High” by Grenny, Patterson, and McMillan explains that when communications break down people will go “silent or violent,” meaning that they will either clam up and stop speaking or they will start with the yelling. Think about when you are in an argument, I bet you do one of these things. When the break down of communication has reached this point it is important to make the other person feel safe in the conversation and this can be done quickly by accepting guilt and apologizing. It doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong, this simple act will help bring the other person back to the point of being able to communicate. For more detailed description of how to create safety please get this book. It did save my marriage.
If you are not good at communicating then do some personal development and develop that skill. Because this is a skill that you will use the rest of your life. Stop and think about how better communication can solve the problems you are facing right now. If all parties involved could sit down and have a rational discussion without anyone getting upset to the point of “silence or violence” then things could be solved, and that is up to you to accomplish.
Today improve your communication skills to solve your problems.

Flower & Rock – Co-evolution
Most minerals evolved with the growing biomass including flowers like the exotic Strelitzia, so everything you do impacts on everything else. All others’ actions affect and influence your growth. As things change, you are changing and your DNA is transforming. Diversify and evolve with the life that is adjusting around you. Soft and hard can get along. Adapt, harmonize, grow.
James Wanless, Ph.D.
As you grow the environment around you changes. Take time today to notice how things have changed in your life with all the growing you have been doing. Notice how your relationships have changed, how your home has changed, how your work environment has changed, and how you are adapting to all this change. For when one thing changes everything in that environment has to also change.
This is not saying that change is bad, in fact change is great! It is through change that you are able to grow as a person and improve who you are. But as you change the simple fact that your environment changes cannot be avoided. But once you look at all the changes that have been made you will see that they are changes for the good and you will start to worry less about them. I bet that you will even begin to love how things have changed for the better and will work hard at making sure that these changes continue and get better.
Today appreciate how you have changed your life and your environment.

Palm Tree – Optimization
Everything about a palm tree is useful, as are you. Resource yourself. Nothing is waste and wasted. Be eco-nomic and eco-efficient. Maximize each and every part of you to feed, protect, shelter, transport, contain, and artfully adorn. Exotic and useful in various environments, develop all your potentials and diversify.

Today is about making sure you take some time and develop yourself to your fullest potential. Once again it’s all about personal development. I cannot stress how important it is to do daily personal development! It is through personal development that you are able to improve the skills you already have and learn new ones.
There are personal development books on everything and every career path. Go to your local bookstore and find books that will help develop you on your career path. There are also books on how to improve yourself through various methods such as positive thinking, Law of Attraction, meditation, and the list goes on. Guess what you should do? That’s right! Go to your local bookstore and find personal development books on topics that interest you. Personally for that area of personal development I tend to read books on how to meditate, improve my Reiki skills, improve my reading skills, and improve my Shamanism skills.
It doesn’t matter what you types of books/audio you read/listen to just as long as you do it daily! I want each of you to start working on your personal development today and do it each day for a month and then let me know how much better things are!

Ace of Pentacles
A prosperous cycle is now beginning. Material success is now within y our grasp. With a little effort, this time could be the beginning of a profitable career.
You really have been working hard at your goals so far this year and you are finally beginning to see some of the fruits of your labor. But this is not the time to slack off but instead double down on your goals. In the book “Go for No: Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There” by Andrea Waltz and Richard Fenton share a little gem about how to achieve your goals and that is to go for no. Instead of setting your goals for how many yes’s you get set your goals for how many no’s you get. Not only will it stretch your comfort zone but you will also begin to feel that rejection and failure are not bad things but instead things that help you achieve your goals. Another good point this book made was that when you are told no ask that person why they said no. This will help you determine their need so that you can better meet their needs either now or in the future.
When you change how you view your goals and how you work towards them you will see that not only are you growing extremely well but you are also learning a lot about yourself. And when you learn about yourself and what you do then you can expand your capabilities and abilities so that you can grow even more. There is no such thing as done with personal development. I live by the philosophy that when you stop learning you start dying and I think that today’s card stresses that. How do you achieve material success? By developing yourself personally and professionally.
Today I want you to work even harder than you were before on your goals and work even harder at personal development. And if you get the chance read the book “Go For No.”
